a few words about me

I'm 39 years old, live in Bristol and I'm married to my beautiful wife Becky. We met in 2009 at the University of the West of England, where we both studied and graduated with 2:1 BA(Hons) degrees in Photography.

I was born in Manchester and after finishing my A-Levels I worked for 2 years as an IT Technican for Transitive before deciding to move city to explore my hobby of photography at a professional level. Before I studied at UWE I spent a year at Weston College and achieved a Distinction in Foundation Diploma Photomedia.

I've been interested in photography and computers from an early age. My early experimentation with digital photography inspired me to go back to the roots of analogue film photography and discover the potential of the captured image. I also explored the relationship between static images and passing time with a series of timelapse sequences I completed during my Foundation Diploma and university degree, and I still occasionally record timelapses just for fun.

Since finishing my degree, I've gone back to technology and computers for a living. I started off with desktop and laptop repairs for a few small companies in Bristol, but after a few years I needed a fresh challenge and decided to go back to an office enviroment and work for various tech companies (full details on my LinkedIn account).
